Garrett McSorley is an alumni of Humboldt State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Environmental Science in 2004. After graduating he was fortunate to get a year of experience working in a small firm architecture studio before moving on to University of Oregon, where he earned a Master of Architecture in 2009.

Earning his CA Architect License in 2011, Garrett has practiced in the Northern California region, working on a mix of commercial, housing, and institutional projects. From 2015 through 2018, Garrett was an employee of Humboldt State University in Facilities Management where he served as architect-of-record for many campus projects, and design manager for large projects such as the Library and Theater Arts Seismic Retrofit.

McSorley Architecture now serves as a local firm with a focus on leveraging team work to produce long term success in our community.
